New Insights: 11th EU-ASEAN Business Sentiment Survey Released
As global dynamics shift, Southeast Asia is emerging as a magnet for growth, innovation, and investment -and European companies are taking notice. Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand are among the most attractive destinations for expansion, reflecting the region’s rising role in global value chains.
The latest EU-ASEAN Business Sentiment Survey by the EU-ASEAN Business Council reveals that while European firms see significant opportunities, they also face persistent challenges. Regulatory complexity, non-tariff barriers, and slow progress on regional integration continue to hinder market access and operational efficiency.
At the same time, businesses are calling for stronger EU engagement. Clearer rules, more institutional support, and closer cooperation will be key to ensuring that European companies can thrive in ASEAN’s fast-growing markets.
As supply chains evolve and capital seeks new homes, ASEAN stands at a crossroads. The potential is vast, but unlocking it will require bold cooperation and smarter policy.
