We are delighted to announce the Lao Responsible Business Awards (RBA) 2026, hosted by the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI), European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Laos (EuroCham Laos), Australian Chamber of Commerce in Laos (AustCham Laos), British Business Group Lao PDR, Embassy of Canada in Laos, and Civitas Co., Ltd.

The theme for the 2026 Awards focuses on two key pillars of responsible business:

• Natural Resource Management:

  In the context of the 2026 Responsible Business Awards, Natural Resource Management refers to the ethical, sustainable, and inclusive stewardship of natural assets, such as land, water, minerals, ecosystems, flora, and fauna, by companies operating in Laos. Eligible activities may include minimizing environmental impact, promoting a healthy long-term environment, respecting customary and traditional tenure of local communities including ethnic groups including free, prior, and informed consent, supporting inclusive economic growth, while adhering to international standards for transparency, anti-corruption, and supply chain due diligence. 

• Diversity and Inclusion:

  In the context of the 2026 Responsible Business Awards, Diversity and Inclusion means fostering equitable participation and representation of individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic background, or other identity factors, across business operations and leadership. It includes removing or reducing systemic barriers that disadvantage specific groups based on identity factors, ensuring workplaces are free from discrimination and harassment, cultivating inclusive workplaces that value diverse perspectives, and implementing accountability measures such as diversity reporting and equity strategies.

Award Categories

• Small and Medium-sized Enterprises: Up to 25 employees

• Larger Enterprises: 25 or more employees

All businesses operating in Laos are encouraged to apply. Submitted initiatives should demonstrate measurable impact, innovation, stakeholder engagement, and long-term sustainability.

• Awards Ceremony: TBA

The Awards Ceremony will be celebrated alongside the Responsible Trade Fair & Networking Event, providing businesses, NGOs, and institutions an opportunity to showcase their sustainable initiatives, products, and services while fostering partnerships for a better future.
