Vientiane International School
Vientiane International School is an independent, not-for-profit day school delivering a rigorous international-standard curriculum. VIS serves a vibrant learning community of around 460 students representing 44 nationalities, with families from diplomatic, non-government, international, and local business sectors.
VIS holds a unique position in Laos as the only school accredited by both the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Council of International Schools (CIS). It is also the only IB Continuum School in the country, offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP).
The school places strong emphasis on language and inclusion through its Mother Tongue Programme, supporting nine languages, alongside an English Language Acquisition (ELA) programme that supports multilingual learners.
